Leapmotor C16 Launches for 2026 with Standard LiDAR and New 5-Seater Variant


The Leapmotor C16 retains the current design language, featuring a continuous light bar, black trim, and dual-side air vents. The profile is updated with flush-mounted electric door handles.
Inside, the C16 comes standard with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. The infotainment system is powered by a Snapdragon 8295 chip and the latest Leap 4.0 Plus OS, which adds a 3D vehicle model, enhanced voice assistant, and expanded app support for improved interaction efficiency.The model is equipped with a standard 128-line LiDAR. Its computer uses a Snapdragon 8650 processor (single-chip computing power: 100 TOPS) and supports an end-to-end driving assistance model. Key features include highway navigation assist (automatic lane changing, ramp negotiation) and memory parking.
The chassis is upgraded with front and rear dual FSD adaptive dampers, allowing automatic suspension stiffness adjustment. The LMC Tire-blowout Stability Control system helps maintain control at speeds up to 120 km/h in the event of a tire burst.
